Benazir Taleemi Wazaif

The Government has introduced the “Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program” under the Benazir Income Support Program. This program aims to help those children. Education is the foundation of the development of any nation, and in Pakistan, to equip the children of the poor with the jewel of education,

Whose parents are economically weak but want to send their children to school. This scheme is especially for the children of women registered in BISP to provide them with financial assistance in pursuing their education. Its biggest advantage is that those children who are forced to drop out of education due to poverty now have a way for permanent financial assistance.

Basic Conditions for Joining the Program

There are some mandatory conditions for registration in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program that must be fulfilled. The first and most important condition is that the child’s mother is eligible for the Benazir Income Support Program. That is, the woman’s name should be included in the BISP list.

Only then can she register her child for educational scholarships. The second condition is that the child is enrolled in a government or private school and the school reports his/her attendance to the government system. Without these two basic conditions, registration is not possible. In addition, the child’s age and class must also be within a certain range, which is detailed below.

This age range ensures that children are studying in the right class according to their age. This also helps in reducing the school dropout rate.

How to Register Taleemi Wazaif Program

The registration process in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program has been kept very easy and simple so that every needy family can benefit from it. For registration, the mother of the child must first go to her nearest Benazir Educational Office (BISP Taleemi Wazaif Office). There, she must take her original National Identity Card (CNIC), the child’s B Form (CRC) and the school’s certified admission certificate. The staff present there will register the child and his details will be updated in the BISP system.

After this, the school submits the child’s attendance report to the BISP system every quarter. If the child’s attendance is 70 percent or more, the child is issued a scholarship for that quarter. If the attendance is less, his scholarship is stopped. Therefore, the children must attend school regularly.
